DECADENT DUPAR'S IS BRUNCH WITH THE STARS
IT’S FARMER’S MARKET FRIDAY! From Hollywood's OG Food Hall!
This week’s VIDEO review is of Valley Girl Darlene and my favorite brunch spot in all of Hollywood, DUPAR’S, home to a decadent patio smack dab on the corner of 3rd and Fairfax. My wife and I get to look out at the last poor screenwriters, the only ones left in town to turn off the spotlights of Hollywood, coming out of the adjacent Writer’s Guild of America Building.
While they try and negotiate the paltry fees the studios dole out for their incredible vision and talents, we instead try to agree upon what to get from Dupar’s phone book of a menu.
Everything here is magnifique, from their signature secret recipe puffy buttermilk pancakes to their decadent dessert and pie case. Wash that down with some of the most refreshing iced tea in town (Arnold Palmer style for me thanks) and you are ready to take on a day of shopping over at the adjacent Grove mall. Wave to Jamie Foxx in his cashmere track suit for me won’t you (actual sighting! Don’t be jellies!)
Since we all need to be sure to run up those credit cards with bucket list things we can no longer afford, right?

And after all, it is the end of the world as we know it, once again. And we still need to feel fine. Hell R.E.M. even got back onstage recently! So lift up that fork, hit play on my video, and get in the spirit! The Orange Crush just comes in Presidential form these days.
Darlene’s must-have orange extravagance is her Salmon Bagel, and my brunch hot take is the figure-friendly Lemon Garlic Chicken Breast. You can go with the Picatta as well, but I wasn’t feeling that saucy the day of our review.

FARMER’S MARKET SECTION INTRO
For our debut Farmer’s Market Friday Substack I decided to show off the Iconic LA Landmark’s history as what I like to call the OG Food Truck Park. Which has now become known more as a Food Hall! Don’t believe me?!
Well when I get down to its origins, which is the intro when watch today’s video, it will download you on all of the facts to prove my point.
Then when you are having your next meal at the Market you can impress the hell out of your brunchie chums with your retro knowledge. You will have factoid after factoid of FF Fury while you sip mimosas and bask in the brilliance of your own personal Best Bennie Choice. (I cannot eat eggs so you’ll have to do it for me!)
